Central America
Including the coasts of Mexico and Central America encompass a wide variety of climates and attractions that are unique to Latin America. Following the migratory route of humpback whales along the warmer waters of Mexico's southern Baja peninsula you will discover secluded island beaches framed by serene desert landscape where the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean merge in a sport-fisher's paradise. Yet further south and east, the more lush cities of mainland Mexico are home to luxurious resorts, golf courses, and cultural monuments. Costa Rica boasts a tropical diversity that literally spills onto her exciting beaches and is noted for its world class scuba diving off Cocos Island.
Panama's canal is renowned as the gateway to the Caribbean, flanked by the fertile Las Perlas archipelago to the west and the palm covered San Blas Islands to the east - home to the Kuna Yala natives, who still employ dugout canoes to move between their Islands. The largest barrier reef in the Northern Hemisphere lies within reach of Belize's laid-back beaches - the perfect destination for the underwater enthusiast.
